Mylaps Rental Kart Transponder
Specifically designed for rental karting, Mylaps transponders do not require any sort of routine maintenance nor inspection, since its electronic circuits are made to resist strong mechanical stress. You just need to clamp it to the frame of the kart and that’s all: the transponder will transmit its own ID code every time the kart crosses the start/finish line and the signal will be operated by the timing system.
This is the core of the system since it collects the signals of the transponders and sends the data to the timing workstation. Mylaps TranX3 decoder is a space-saving, portable device, which can be easily moved if necessary – for instance from an indoor to an outdoor track. Like all of Mylaps electronic devices it undergoes a wide range of tests for a 100% reliability.
A coaxial copper wire, the active antenna has to be laid across the tarmac by the finish line in order to pick up the signal from the transponders and switch it to the decoder.
